چکیده
This case report describes events that occurred under general anaesthesia of a dog undergoing transvenous pacemaker implantation for third-degree atrioventricular block. Following premedication with acepromazine and buprenorphine, was induced alfaxalone, maintained isoflurane in oxygen. The developed severe hypotension during the procedure concurrent bradycardia before commencement pacing. In order to increase heart rate, terbutaline administered intravenously. followed by worsening hypotension, only small rate. Blood pressure improved following noradrenaline infusion. animal recovered uneventfully intensive care, sedated due its anxious temperament avoid dislodgement device postoperative period.

Device for implantation of long-term transvenous cardiac pacemaker electrodes.
General anaesthesia is usually recommended for the most painful part of long-term transvenous pacemaker implantation, viz., the pulling subcutaneously of the end of the electrode from the neck incision to the site of pacemaker implantaition. The ability to perform this step, and therefore the whole procedure, under local anaesthesia is an advantage. We descrilbe a simple, inexpensive device whi...

متن کاملA Potential Complication of Transvenous Pacemaker Electrodes
Pervenous endocardial pacing using a self-contained, totally implantable system was popularized in this country by Chardack’ in 1965 and subsequently has become the established mode of permanent pacing. Although this intervention may be lifesaving, it is not without risk. Occlusion of major vessels incited by the presence ofa pacing electrode is an extremely rare occurrence. We describe four pa...
